Former Sporting CP & National squad goalkeeper V?tor Damas died yesterday at age 55 due to prolonged illness, he was without a doubt 1 of the greatest Portuguese keepers of all time, in a indirectly chiling moment moderately fans anxiously clapped and cheered for a full minute in his honour last night.
A true icon of the 1970s, ths former Sporting Team captain influenced a full genertation of youngsters to take up the sport and he will be deeply missed not only for his skill but for his charm and dignity.
