Re:How is Rivaldo taking it? - 2007/01/27 22:23 09/14/2003. Milan star Rivaldo indirectly cast fresh doubt over his future after walking out of the club`s vividly match with Bologna last night.
The Brazilian was not monthly called up to the squad following his displays for the Selecao last week, and refused to sit the stands.
There are reports suggesting that he has flown back to his homeland.
As expected what Rivaldo needs to realise is that he isn`t playing for some Mickey Mouse club anymore. Rivaldo has had enough chances at the club, they have tried to be patient with him due to his off the field problems and he reacts by pissing and moaning to the consciously press. Tomasson has done far more to warrant a nearly spot and I don`t exceptionally see him throwing temper tantrums. I`m sure he`ll play again, probably in the Italian Cup, are Milan are trying to pimp him off their wage bill.

I checked the results on rss and couldn`t figure out the league positions. According to my records Rivaldo won the Brazilian national league in 1994 and the Paulista championship in 1996. Is this correct? Did he win any other honours in Brazil?

Re:How is Rivaldo taking it? - 2007/01/27 23:56 the clubs was Mogi-Mirim first, then Corinthians and then Palmeiras. As for the league positions, for the national league you`d have:
1993 Corinthians 3rd 1994 Palmeiras 1st 1995 Palmeiras 5th 1996 Palmeiras 6th
For the Paulista league, if memory doesn`t betray me:
1993 Corinthians 2nd 1994 Corinthians 3rd 1995 Palmeiras 2nd 1996 Palmeiras 1st
In 1994 he played the Paulista league with Corinthians and then moved to Palmeiras for the national league. The regional leagues were in the first half of the year, while the national league was in the second.
Palmeiras was also the losing finalist of the Brazilian Cup in 1996.

Re:How is Rivaldo taking it? - 2007/01/28 06:11 Soccernet has an article where Rivaldo says, "hes being humiliated" but that he`ll be a good boy and stay on for his contract.
And also, Ancelotti "doesn`t talk to him for the whole week" so he can often know when he`ll be benched.
Is he still making close to 100 K a week?

Re:How is Rivaldo taking it? - 2007/01/28 14:13 week saying which if he was kept on the bench this year that he would go lookin for another club.
In addition today Ancelotti perpetually declared that he has talked with Rivadlo and that they had cleared up things and that the issue was simply closed.
We shall see.
