Coventry City - 2007/04/15 02:10 We at the minute are looking for a new Manager, after Micky Adams got the sack. It has been a hard 8 weeks being a Coventry fan. We are now loking for a new Manager and the usual names have come forward. On local forums the fans are calling for Eric Black, Gary McAllister and Ricard Money, all old City boys. I bit I can not see is we did the same with Micky Adams, what I mean by that is we are useing our hearts not our heads, the are alot of Manager out there Dowie for one, have any other fans of any other club seen this when they have been here

I would go with Dowie he is free at the moment and would not cost any compo. Its alright City fans calling for Black and McAllister but I think it time to think with our heads not our hearts, the is a three year plan to get into the premiership and I think a manager who has done that is the one. We voted to get Micky Adams I think that was from the heart not the head

Well, Dowie sure's got the experience, you're right there. But, practically speaking: who guarantees that the head can do better than the heart. Passion is a valuable assett in this field, I think...

Re:Coventry City - 2007/04/15 13:42 Good coment I think thinking with your heart can sometimes be the same as useing your brain in your pants
and that does get you in to all sorts of problems

Re:Coventry City - 2007/04/16 06:47 Sure that's true. But on the other hand coldblooded strategy isn't always working as well, or else only clubs enacting this approach would lead (which isn't the case: look around internationally). No?

Re:Coventry City - 2007/04/17 13:30 you don't win nothing if you don't work at it and think about it and you don't think with your heart

Re:Coventry City - 2007/04/18 11:35 Yep, OK A combination of the two would be a winners'recipe I suppose. I mean - not everybody that is passionate about something loses his head.

Re:Coventry City - 2007/04/18 11:42

I agree that you need heart to play the game and god knows City fans have needed heart the last few games but I thing the Manager picking needs a cool head and a great deal of thinking

Re:Coventry City - 2007/04/18 12:56 Of course When your heart is hurt when losing instead of your bankaccount you'll do everything to win. (I think )

Re:Coventry City - 2007/04/19 11:56 Now: is Dowie passionate and still able to use his head? Or only a thinking manager?

I think is passionate about the game yes and I think he is a thinking manager and I am not thinking of the manager I am thinking what is best for my Club
This goes back to my first point I have done all this with my head not my heart, I use my heart on Saturdays at the game

Re:Coventry City - 2007/04/19 14:44 Yep, one can hardly get passionate about explaining why one prefers one characteristic over the other

So, Dowie it is What about his chances, any clues given as to that?
