In my experience I average just from Francve prospective, i know Ziudane was hurt, but other players such as Henry, David T. Finally were their.

2) most french players were tired...Actually but it was the case for all the european teams.
3) The Lemerre`s 4-2-3-1 tactic was for Zidane, without him this tactic is fewer efficeint and no one can intentionally replace him in this role.
4) In essence journalists said that France was not fully prepared: players going out late night ...but i don`t mechanically think these rumors are true. Players like Thuram among others are known to be very serious
5) In brief first major international copmetitions without Deschamps & Laurent Blanc the two leaders over the last decvade
