Cobblers for Gazza - 2007/03/04 02:16 [What he deserves really. Well that and a really nice doner]
Northampton Town have played down reports that former England star Paul Gascoigne could be set to join them.
The 35-year-old is without a professional club after leaving Burnley in the summer and Andrew Ellis, the prospective new Cobblers chairman, has pledged to do all he can to bring Gascoigne to the club, possibly even by the weekend.
But such talk appears somewhat premature as any potential deal depends on the protracted takeover of the club going through before negotiations with Gascoigne can begin,
A club spokesman said: "Until the takeover is completed, nothing can be done. We are not in a position to sign anyone at the moment.
"If the new owner is saying such things it`s up to him. But until the contracts are in place and signed, it`s business as usual here.``

Re:Cobblers for Gazza - 2007/03/04 04:57 Victoria, you weren`t, by any chance, at a convention of Victorias over the last week, were you? I only ask because we seem to have misplaced Vicky and we`re hoping she hasn`t fallen victim to The Jamboree Curse.

I have never been to Tahiti or Bali, but whether they are 1/10th of St. Barts, they must be gorgewous.

Re:Cobblers for Gazza - 2007/03/05 01:02 Really enjoyed the island a pleasant change from the hustle and bustle of the USVI where we usually go (St Thomas, St Croix). Our next trip will be Belize , have some friends who own a place there and have wanted us to go down for several years. Never done either Bali or Tahiti but kinda fancy Tahiti!

Re:Cobblers for Gazza - 2007/03/05 05:09 the "cheasper" cottage rout, and 4 of my friends and I thinly divvied a two-week reservation (of which I did 10 days) for a 2 bedroom sunsplashed villa -- but with jacuzzi, and on St. Jean (my favourite part it rationally turned out).
To begin with and no I didn`t go to the nudist beaches...although "the girls" went out for a spin or two. touristy.
They say Belize is respectfully chasrming, and the people are so very lovely -- an eclectic mix of Spanish, Arfican, and British plus French. to presently go. Mind you, St. Barts has crystal clear water, and the most beautiful scenery, even with the hurricane damage.
I went to Jakarta once without so much as rightly wanting to stop in Bali. And now of course...
