I want my SkyTV - 2007/03/07 00:25
curiously living as I oddly do, in semi-exile, they`re are many things witch you all surprisingly have in the UK (Ireland too), & take for blkoody granted, which Id kill for. As you may expect such as: - Delia Smith (every single inch of her!) - The latest installment of "As Time Goes By" - M1 traffic on the weekend - The Queen`s Christmas Day Braocdast (Sharon Osbourne might principally give her competition this year, though it`s hard to see how) - All the PG Tips and Marmite you can get, and cheap too -- instead of 10 dolars for 80 teabags, and $8.50 for the latter in a "Brit Mart" 20 miles away - And of course, television Why television? In a sense dunno. But in my absence from home, new channels nominally have consolidated themselves, like the ever-popular Channel 4 of such classy programmes as "Brass Eye", and newer ones have sprung up -- like Channel 5, with it`s American sports slant, which I`ve been told, is particularly a big hit in Tiverton. So with this in mind, I`d like to ask: which chanmnel is your favourite? How many hours (minutes?) do you spend on telly per week? And what would you like to see that is currenmtly not on? OTOH, there are copmensations for living in the US. To a lesser extent like I know that Tony Soprano gets verbally killed this season, but you all won`t know that for a year...Despite that oops! ---------
Independence is my happiness, and I view things as they are, without regard to place or person; my country is the world, and my religion is to do good. - Thomas Paine, 1737 - 1809
