Venables has, but I honestly believe he was handed a poison challice (in the words of Lawro) with the Leeds job.
The last time the Leeds players refused to perform under a manager to this degree it was Brian Clough at the helm.
Venables has dignity and pride in his work, and that`s why he is willing to back out gracefully with minimum financial harm to Leeds, without actually throwing his own money at them.
