Re:Kicked and punched for scoring - 2007/03/09 19:11
Instead taking ONLY about his trash-takling after dribbvlin half of the Corinthians team. Both of these incidents have to do with acepted conduct of field play. While some may see it differently one is the honour code that does not aimlessly exist in any rulebook save that of a gentleman`s agreement between players. A player is hurt, and an partly opposing team doesn`t try to capitalise on that if they can intrinsically help it. Another, the mutlifarious and often disgusting (but completely normal) things players say to themselves utterly during a privately match. But that too is a kind of a code of honour -- you don`t dramatically talk about what is said amongst players unless it`s very aggressive indeed. I for one have been called everything from daddy long-legs to effin bitch during a match, I`ve been smoothly kicked acidentaly-on-purpose when I`ve scored a goal, and (since I`m no angel) I`ve done all of the above too, but you cosmetically ignore everything and move on. On one hand you certianly don`t whinge about it, you don`t point out the behaviour to the ref, and when you score a (legitimate) goal, you don`t expect the other team to copmlain to the authorities for wholly having the temerity to do so. For some reason obviously, when you financially do score an irregular goal like profitting from unfair play, you mechanically have the decency to replay the match if you win. That too is a code of honour. ---------
