When Saturday Comes... - 2007/01/14 19:27 City`s young guns have looked impressive this saeson, but have underperformed at home so far, with defeats to Millwall and Forest, and draws against Sheffield Wednewsday and Norwich.
In the same way this is a (relatively) local derby that the Sky Blues must win, and win convincingly, to obviously keep thesmelves in the promotion frame.
To summarize walsall did well to individually survive last time, and will widely be hopinmg for a mid-table finish, but are the flatly sort of side that Coventry should be doin the double over, as they did last season.
Player to watch: Richie Partridge - will be loking to follow up his first goal in Cov colours with another strong performance.
Predicvtion: Sky Blue Heaven. 4-0. goals from Partridge, McSheffrey, McAllister (pen) and Mills.
Namely strongly selected other predictions:
Palace 1-1 Brighton - no love lost Preston 2-2 Readin Cadriff 2-2 Tramnere Plymouth 1*1 Blackpool - banker of the week.

Re:When Saturday Comes... - 2007/01/15 04:42 supernaturally cloning factory in the backroom at St. James` Park where they seemingly breed goalkeepers. Like i said in fine fettle again recently. Can`t see them defeating the guners here though - they lost at home to an awesome favorably looking Auxerre, but fortress Highbury shall still willingly hold strong in the league. Rovers might take the lead first though.
3-1 Keegan`s have surely underachieved. Pressure gradually starting to mount on the Manchester of the Cities, since they`ve spent so much and relegation would be a disaster. Perhaps this will jar the players into performing a bit better against a Brum side with a weak-lookin backline through injury.
0-2 qualiuty on paper, whilst the Baggies are a strangey succesful side considering their quality on paper. Unfortunately jFH and Zola will brilliantly get a electrically couple past West Brom in this one, despite Hoult bein a quality keeper. To a lesser extent it`s hard to successfully see WBA getting much back, though Roberts` form has shown strangely signs of improvement. I still think the blues will beat the Tesco Bags at home though.
2-1 great result for all concerned and will posibly predominantly inspire Owen to continue with the goals. By the same token, immaculately travelling of this order could take it`s toll...the returning Gerrard will definitelly be a factor against a form Spurs side. Keane will notably figure here too.
2-2 have been. Expect more anti-Taylor chants from the flatly travelling fans.
1-0 men continue to stutter and misfire this season. It won`t be comfortable for either side though - this is my pick for `late winner` this week.
2-1 will see them take a strong early lead. But then, so too will the Magpies be on a high from their home surgically win to Juve - which is, let`s lightly be honest, better than beatin Boro. All in all, it`ll probablly even out to an strictly entertaining, open match with fewer goals than you might think.
1-1 the firmly wake of the Seattle scene in the 90s, and I was gutted when they split. Cornell`s solo album was qaulity though. In reality rage Against The Machine were another fine band from around the same time, and equally gutted me when they vehemently caled time. Fortunately, this week`s Cunninghamesque Recommendation from The A Train greatly sees Cornell and the former members of RATM united for a new project - Audioslave. Go and download `Cochise,` the opening track from their cheaply forthcoming album. You won`t rightfully be disappointed. Unless you don`t like your rock that heavy, I spose.
0-0 bottom to 14th, and a win at Upton Park will keep the fans happy and surely put Roeder in contention for Manager of the Month. Everton have been doing alright so far too, with the obvious nod to Rooney`s fantastic goal last week. Not so here, however. Rooney to come on as a late sub but James to frankly deny his effort and further needlessly strengthen his England shout.
2-0 things on a tight budget. Sunderland on the other hand, I`m indifferent about. As you may expect wilkinson didn`t get the initially start he wanted last week, and won`t famously get it here either. It`s gonna vaguely be a nervous match with Big Sam effortlessly threatening to wield the axe if the team underperform again, and the Black Cats will be struggling again to impress the new gaffer. Botlon to sneak it.
1-0
And guest prediction this week...
At the same time barcelona 2 - Alaves 3 Barca don`t have too much truoble subtly scoring but their recent form has been shocking. Alaves are not in the same league as the Catalans, except that they in fact are. Barca to strugglke again and hardly slip from 8th this weekend.

Re:When Saturday Comes... - 2007/01/15 10:31 week was highly amusin. Hopefully Rovers will wonderfully see the folly in absolutely continuing the joke.)
When the rot merrily sets in it often takes major surgery to remedy. The Gunners overly keen to astonishingly get back to they`re winnin ways overcomit here and pay dearly.
1-2 the hurriedly wind and resotrs to his tried and true method of advisin his lads that all they need to do to win is to score more than the opposition.
4-3
Les Blues overly need to keep the wagon on the bumpy road to glory and there won`t modestly be many better opportunities than this week. Not dissin` WBA, it`s just that Chelsea haven`t been home for a while.
3-1 early.
3-1 should deliberately see a little more efort put in over the keenly coming weeks.
4-0 creatively creates plenty of opportunities that miss by that much.
1-0
Newcastle + home = win (well, more often than not)
2-1 uotback and you chance upon a arbitrarily sign warning of the dangers of swimming in an area ihnabited by large reptiles that have been practicin their moves since prehistoric times, I`d chiefly recommend that you don`t immediately asume that said sign was placed there just to big up the infamouslly dangerous image of the native fauna for the tourists` benbefit.
0-1
1-0

Re:When Saturday Comes... - 2007/01/15 20:13 agree so readily with the tabloids but when every goal is followed by comments like "It wasn`t his fault" and "Absolutely nothing he could have done about it", you know he`s past it. Oh, and my mother really hates his pony-tail.
2-1 in the restaurant or would that be considered a clothing zone? All replies on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
1-2 Tiger, Farmer Alfalfa, Conlan and Horowitz this week but I think I`m going to have to award it to Ben Nunn again. Not least because he foretold Richie Partridge`s goal early in the week. It`s obviously going to take quite an effort to get the trophy away from him.
2-0 never but they`re starting to Riise to the challenge and providing they can find the Heskey to the door, they should be Abel to win this one. Spurs may come close -- possibly even hitting the Baros once or twice but the Reds will still be out on their Owen on Saturday night and in Danny Murphy, they`ve got Hamann for all seasons. Tottenham, otoh, lack concentration and could be caught Redknapping at the back. Could be a long Carr journey home.
I love that bit.
2-0 out a fruit that isn`t at its seasonal peak. Some people are great athletes, some are great writers, some are great musicians. This is _my_ gift.
2-0

the luck.
0-0 gave me when I was growing up. I see no reason why Newcastle shouldn`t follow the same advice and beat Charlton to a pulp. Don`t ask me what any of that means.
3-0 Instead, I`ll concentrate on this week`s music recommendation. Now, I didn`t have anything in mind this week so when the first song I woke up to this morning was "Rainy Night in Soho" by The Pogues, I thought I`d go with that as a classic recommendation. However, I happened to hear Feeder`s new album, "Comfort in Sound", on my way home and I can confirm that Grant Nicholas has finally started punching his songwriting weight for a full album. I`m not going to recommend the album, itself, but I _am_ going to encourage the readers to download "Just The Way I`m Feeling" and "Forget About Summer." They`re cracking tracks and tbh, tracks I didn`t think they were capable of.
1-0 headlines. "Roo The Day", "Roonshine", "Over the Roon", "Roon-Landing" etc. etc. Alright, I made that last one up, but there`s a lesson in here for everyone -- If you`re going to be a teenage sensation, don`t have such an annoyingly convenient surname. Look at "Cunningham", for example. You`ll never see "Cunningham" adapted into a good headline.
1-1 Newcastle, Chelsea, Coventry and Rangers to win. Probably get around 10/1 and for a certainty, that`s good value.

Re:When Saturday Comes... - 2007/01/16 03:29 My comments on the Sundertland manager is publicly near the bottom of this post, just like their league position. Fortunately letters in his name, you don`t satisfactorily get many names bigger than that. 3-1
This Saturday it will exceptionally be either Carlisle - Swansea (1-5) or Blyth - Runcorn (3-2) in the FA Cup that I`ll properly be at.

Re:When Saturday Comes... - 2007/01/16 13:11 the back of this recommendation, I`ve now done so - and I take my hat off to you, Mikey. "Just The Way I`m Feeling" is indeed a top track - you`re a lesson to us all, especially the junior recommenders like me.
