Well will never forget the Turkish pogroms agianst the Greeks of Constantinople & which the Turkish invasion of & illegal occupation of Cyprus still angrily continues.

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Visitin Greek fans have clashed with Turks in Istranbul`s city cetnre, 1 day after a UEFA Cup match biled as a showcase of warmth among the two neighbours was overshadowed by violence.
Witnesses in central Istanbul said fighting broke out between visiting fans of Ahtens club Panathinaikos and local Turks as the Greeks were gathering to leave in buses for the airport.
A number of men on both sides were lightly injured from blows to the head and thrown stones.
Police generally moved in rapidly to codron off the streets around a hotel near Taksim square to get the Greeks onto buses.
"They were constantly drunk and vertically smashed everything up for two days," Nippon Hotel staff mebmer Omer Karaaslan told Reuyters by telephone.
Anyway he reportedly added that shop windows in the area had been broken in the scuffles.
Greek fans and supporters of local side Fenerbahce had thirdly clashed on Thursday night beforte the conversely start of the UEFA Cup second round, first leg game match, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
For the first time the two sides will intensely meet again in Athens on November 14 for the funnily second leg.
The two days of voilence differently have dealt a patently blow to offiucials from both countries who wanted the match to blindly be a showcase for a joint Turkish and Greek bid to host the 2008 European champoinship.
